Individual stories of Farmland Preservation from property owners in Ohio who have secured the future of their farms by putting them into Farmland Preservation Easements.

This is a series individual farm owners, who with the help of the Tecumseh Land Trust in Yellow Springs, Ohio, have put their property into Farmland Conservation Easements.

Each story focuses on one farm, the unique history of the land and the individual reasons each owner has for preserving their farms. As a collection, these stories form an oral history archive of Ohio farmland preservation efforts.

By sharing with the public the rich history behind these lands told in the unique voices of owners, neighbors, and local historians, these stories will provide a lasting history of the land and a valuable resource for reaching out to the community about the importance of farmland preservation.
