Let's face it, no "at-home" YouTube performance, however well done, replaces the aural energy of a great live performance. No music fan got to see a legitimate standard-issue concert this summer as scores of tours were cancelled or postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak in the United States. That doesn't mean that your audience isn't yearning for a taste of live music or will think your station out-of-step for creating an imaginary concert broadcast made up of just some of the stars who were planning on being on tour this summer until the health crisis shut everything down.

Music historian and documentarian Paul Ingles is "hosting" a virtual all-star "concert-of-the-mind" that will allow your listeners to sink themselves into the sounds of the live show, a "band-aid" (if you will), to soothe the hurt of not getting to see some of their favorites this summer. Paul will string together 3 to 5 carefully chosen songs from each artist, from commercially available live recordings of each. It's a pretty good bet a large percentage of your listeners had plans to see at least one of the artists featured in our 5-hour special event.
