KRWG 90.7 FM is an award winning non-commercial public radio station licensed to and operated by New Mexico State University as a community service to southern New Mexico and the El Paso area of far west Texas. Broadcasting from studios in Milton Hall on the Las Cruces campus of New Mexico State University since 1964, KRWG FM’s call letter honor New Mexico radio pioneer Ralph Willis Goddard, NMSU Engineer Dean from 1921 to 1929, who established KOB, the most powerful college radio station in the world in 1920. A founding partner of National Public Radio and member of Public Radio International, KRWG broadcasts 24/7 year round with a variety of public radio news programs including Morning Edition, Weekend Edition and All Things Considered; mid-day and over-night classical music paired with evening Latin, jazz and blues programming. Weekends featuring a variety of world music, Car Talk, A Prairie Home Companion, and This American Life, as well as locally produced programming such as Images, Vision, and Back Porch with Steve Smith. KRWG 90.7 FM reaches over 35,000 weekly listeners and programming is made possible by the generous support of listeners, corporate and business underwriting, Federal grants and New Mexico State University.
