At the FM 89.9 signal the station is able to reach areas north and west to Lima, Fort Wayne and Richmond, since November 1985. Dayton Public Radio has become the voice for our region's performing and fine arts organizations. The station now broadcasts performances of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, the Richmond Symphony Orchestra and the Springfield Symphony Orchestra as well as the Dayton Bach Society, Chamber Music Yellow Springs, and Musica!. In addition, WDPR-FM 88.1 and WDPG-FM 89.9 bring the rest of the world into the Miami Valley by broadcasting high quality programs from satellite feed such as the Metropolitan Opera, the Cleveland Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. Dayton Public Radio produces the majority of its daytime offerings beginning at 6:00 a.m. weekdays with Morning Concert and continuing through the afternoon and evening with many local hosts and local offerings. A sample of additional locally produced programming includes Treasure Trove, a guide to a great CD collection on a budget, Showtime, a celebration of the music of stage and screen, Music 2000, and Intimate Guitar.
