KSQM 91.5 FM

KSQM 91.5 FM (www.ksqmfm.com) is a 501(c)3 Non-Commercial Educational radio station with 2400 watts of broadcast power. The station also streams live on the Internet. KSQM began broadcasting on December 7, 2008 and serves the Sequim-Port Angeles Area of the Olympic Peninsula (approximately 60 miles NW of Seattle, WA). The station is part of the Emergency Alert System (EAS).

KSQM serves a diverse and beautiful region that is bordered by the Olympic Mountains (south), Puget Sound (east), the Strait of Juan de Fuca (north) and the Pacific Ocean (west). There are approaching 120,000 potential listeners within the six counties (Clallam, Jefferson, San Juan, Island, Skagit and Whatcom) into which KSQM broadcasts. There are over 35,000 potential listeners in the Sequim Dungeness Valley.

KSQM also provides a pristine signal to Victoria, British Columbia which includes another 300,000 potential listeners.

The Station is also heard via streaming audio on the web via ksqmfm.com and reaches listeners in all 50 states and in over 130 foreign countries including United States Military Personnel who are listeners in several war zones.

KSQM now broadcasts from THE JOHN WAYNE MEMORIAL TRANSMISSION FACILITY located near Blue Mountain in the Olympics.   This has broadened KSQM’s reach into the outlying counties listed above, and farther north to the Washington - Canadian border (near Blaine), easterly into both Snohomish and North King counties, and further into Canada.

Currently, KSQM is broadcasting 24 hours-a-day. 20 announcers provide the live station broadcasts between 7am and 10 pm daily, with the remaining overnight hours handled by automatic programmed music and information broadcasts. The station hopes to staff broadcasts with live announcers 24 hours-a-day beginning in 2014.
