After 50 years in the music business, the rest of the world begins to discover the man locals call "The Godfather of Austin Blues and Soul"

He spent most of his fifty-year career in the background. Now he's finally in the spotlight himself. W.C. Clark has long been regarded as one of the best sidemen in all of Austin. And through the years he helped mentor blues players who went on to make a major mark on the national blues scene; people like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Marcia Ball, and the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
After decades in the shadows, W.C. Clark is emerging as a major solo talent getting international recognition as a singer/songwriter (and his guitar chops are none too weak, either.)
But what makes W.C.'s story more compelling is how he's a bridge between the old blues masters of yesterday and the contemporary blues revivalists. The career of W.C. Clark serves as a mirror for a slowly desegregating South.
