Echoes Holiday programs 2019:

An Echoes Acoustic Thanksgiving
This thanksgiving on Echoes, oboist Jill Haley performs music from her acclaimed new album, The Winds of Badlands. Inspired by her residency in the Badlands National Park in South Dakota. Working with Grammy-winning guitarist David Cullen and others, she creates a chamber music tone poem to this vast expanse of America. Her live performance centers an Echoes Acoustic Thanksgiving.

Available 11/21 at Noon
Feeds in normal Echoes Program, Thursday, November 28.

Echoes Sonic Seasonings
In a new Echoes Sonic Seasonings, we bring you members of FLOW and friends. FLOW is the instrumental supergroup with Fiona Joy Hawkins, Lawrence Blatt, Jeff Oster and Will Ackerman, the founder of Windham Hill Records. With a coterie of friends, they get together in new configurations to reinvent the sound of Christmas.

Pianist Fiona Joy Hawkins and violinist and soprano Rebecca Daniel, following their highly acclaimed album, The Lightness of Dark, are joined by percussionist Jeff Haynes and trumpeter Jeff Oster. They deconstruct a set of familiar seasonal songs into refracted variations as if spun through a prism.

The trio Departure, with trumpeter Jeff Oster, bassist/keyboardist Tom Eaton and guitarist Vin Downes, sends carols into a space where Miles Davis meets Pink Floyd on the rings of Jupiter.

Guitarist Will Ackerman teams up with guitarist Vin Downes for a unique take on a lesser-known seasonal song.

FLOW and friends turn Christmas into an intimately chilled and musically adventurous mood, live on Echoes Sonic Seasonings.
