For the first time in media history, kids from Europe and America have their own intercontinental radio and web channel now: "Across the Ocean".

Made by kids for kids on both sides of the Atlantic. Educative, participative, entertaining. From the grassroots, free of commercials. All age groups: from 3 to 20 years. All topics for kids. All year round - every year. And: Every public or community radio station, every school, every youth initative can actively join the Transatlantic Radio Bridge! Check out: www.across-the-ocean.org.

"Across the Ocean" today is a monthly series of 30:00 minutes; available in English or German. Many additional pieces and special editions.

Contents are timeless, relevant to kids of both continents and presented by kids themselves.

-> "Across the Ocean" is initiated and designed for program exchange and coproductions with every public radio station, school, youth media initative in Europe and America. We aim to increase the volume of overall content, partner stations and the number of shows per year with the contributions of our partners continously.

Examples:
* Music section:
- The Joan Baez radio show: Kids from 5 continents interview the American folk legend.
- Interviews with Bobby Mc Ferrin and Patty Smith.
- Dozens of traditional, folk and children songs; lots of music composed and presented by kids from Europe and America.

* Participation section:
- We are the United Nations: Some 800 youth from all over the world meet for a Model United Nations Assembly and discuss issues of global relevance on an extraordinary high level. Supported by the American Embassy in Germany, organized by kids from Germany and America. Recorded in the John F. Kennedy School in Berlin.

- Kids worldwide - incl. Europe and America - fighting together for the Children's right of Education in the "Global Education Campaign".

* Environment and Nature section:
- Kids from America and Europa fight against Climate Change

* Exchange section:
- Kids from America and Europe meet, talk and learn together, e.g. from the Bronx, Vancouver, New Jersey, Kansas City, Berlin, Weimar, Leipzig.

- Let's talk: Kids from Berlin and Illinois talk to each other via Skype about Obama, Sports and their school life.

- Let's meet: Kids from Charlotte, North Carolina, meet their partner school in Europe.

- Kids report about their personal travel experiences in Europe and America.

Other sections: science, nature, history, humor, literature, family life, school life and many more to come.
