Music Maker Minute - Race in U.S.

Series produced by Music Maker Relief Foundation

Series image

Set to the background of their own music, African American roots and blues artists share personal reflections on racial discrimination and the Black experience in America.

Featuring stories and music by roots and blues artists from the Music Maker Relief Foundation roster, this mini-series explores the complexities and nuances of the Black experience in America.

You will hear from Clyde Langford (Centerville, TX), Rufus McKenzie (Perry, GA), Freeman Vines (Fountain, SC), and Big Ron Hunter (Winston-Salem, NC).

We hope these stories will give voice to unheard perspectives and will bring greater depth to existing histories of race in the U.S.
